Can I choose which debts to include?
No, you cannot choose which debts to include in your bankruptcy.
All unsecured creditors must be treated equally and all unsecured debts must be included in the proceeding. All secured creditors are also listed and notified of the insolvency process.
Your legal documents will clearly state if you intend to maintain payments and keep possession of secured assets, or if you are surrendering them.
