In a consumer proposal, will I be charged any additional fees on top of the proposal amount?
Trustee's do not charge additional fees over and above what is required to be paid according to your proposal terms.
If you are being asked to pay additional fees you may not be dealing with a Trustee but rather an unregulated debt consultant.
If you find out you are dealing with an unregulated debt consultant, contact a Trustee right away to initiate a formal insolvency process. Any monies owing to the debt consultant can be included in your Proposal.
