Will my friends, family, employer, spouse, etc. find out if I enter a structured debt repayment program?
Not necessarily. This all depends if you have joint debt, are in any formal insolvency process, or are currently being garnisheed at work.
Any formal insolvency process is a public record and can be searched on the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy's website.
If you have joint debt, then the joint account holder needs to be informed that they will be impacted by your Proposal.
If you are currently being garnisheed at work, your Trustee will contact your employer to notify them to cease the garnishee.
