It depends. Any formal insolvency process is public record and can be searched on the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy's website
If you have joint debt, then the joint account holder needs to be informed that they will be impacted by your bankruptcy.
If you are currently being garnisheed at work, your Trustee will contact your employer to notify them to cease the garnishee.
If you have a more complex bankruptcy with significant asset recovery, your Trustee is required to place a small, one-day advertisement of your bankruptcy in a newspaper of your locality.
